ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL POSITION
This 3 year contract position was created in partnership with the City of Emmett, Gem County Government, Idaho Power, and the Gem County Chamber of Commerce. The position was previously provided by Economic Development Grows Economies (E.D.G.E) and includes the following areas of responsibility:
- Business
Retention Visits
- Respond
to Business Request for Information
- Assist
Businesses with Expansion Plans/Needs
- Identify
Needs/Issues
- Facilitate
Meetings with Stakeholders
Business Recruitment
- Market
Results of Hotel/Motel Feasibility Study
- Assemble
and distribute Marketing Packet
- Attend
Trade Shows
- Assemble
and maintain inventory of current available property,
infrastructure and infrastructure needs
- Expand
and update SBDC Website including links to the “ready team”
Liaison
- Support
City and County in development of Capital Improvements Plans
- Inform
City/County of infrastructure needs
- Assist
in development of the SBDC Industrial Park
- Contact
for operations of SBDC Industrial Park
- Assist in assembling Business Owners Association
- Position on Architectural Control Committee
- Assist in assembling Business Owners Association
- Position on Architectural Control Committee
- Provide
assistance to businesses
