Gem County has stable and very competitive property tax rates. The property tax rate for this area is one of the lowest in the State, and our sales tax is 6%. Idaho's income tax base closely parallels the definition used by the federal government. In general, the same income is taxed and the same deductions are allowed. The Idaho tax rates range from 1.6 to 7.8 percent of taxable income.
